K-Pop fans, get ready! Project girl group I.O.I is making a highly anticipated comeback in May to celebrate their 10th anniversary since their official debut, Swing Entertainment confirmed today.
This reunion marks I.O.I’s first official group promotion in nearly nine years. The group’s activities concluded in early 2017, leaving fans eager for their return.
While most of the original members will be joining the reunion, Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong are unfortunately unable to participate due to pre-existing commitments. I.O.I will promote as a nine-member group for this special anniversary.
I.O.I, formed through public voting on Mnet’s hit show “Produce 101” in 2016, debuted in May of that year and quickly captured hearts with hit songs like “Dream Girls,” “Whatta Man,” “Very Very Very,” and the poignant ballad “Downpour.”
In addition to a new album release, I.O.I will launch their comeback with a Seoul concert, followed by a much-anticipated Asia tour. This gives fans across the globe the chance to finally reconnect with the beloved K-Pop group.
