K-pop Star G-Dragon to Headline ‘Krazy Super Concert’ in Dubai Alongside Jay Park & Asian Artists
K-pop icon G-Dragon is set to make his highly anticipated Middle East performance debut at the “Krazy Super Concert,” scheduled for February 17th at Dubai Media City Amphitheater in the United Arab Emirates. This concert marks G-Dragon’s first official appearance in the region since his debut, making it a momentous occasion for fans.
The “Krazy Super Concert,” known for its sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles, is expanding its reach into the Middle East for the very first time. The event is organized by Pu1se Events, a renowned international EDM brand founded by Chinese entrepreneur Luffy Huang.
Joining G-Dragon as headliners are fellow K-pop sensation Jay Park, Chinese artist Kun, and popular entertainer Kim Jong-kook. Former girl group members Yerin and Yein will also grace the stage, adding to the star-studded lineup.
Despite the significance of the event, some industry observers suggest the lineup may lack widespread regional appeal beyond dedicated K-pop fans.

“It’s essentially G-Dragon and Jay Park driving the show,” an entertainment industry official commented. “Some hardcore fans might recognize Kim Jong-kook from Korean TV shows, but he’s not primarily known as a K-pop idol. The other artists aren’t as well-known in the UAE. The lineup feels somewhat rushed, and the concert announcement was relatively late.”
The concert’s timing has also raised concerns, as it coincides with the projected start of Ramadan, expected to begin between February 17th and 19th.
Ramadan is the Islamic holy month of fasting, reflection, and prayer observed by Muslims globally. While concerts are not strictly forbidden during this period, large-scale outdoor entertainment events can be perceived as culturally insensitive, especially during the initial days of observance.
“Dubai is more relaxed regarding Ramadan regulations than in the past, but that doesn’t guarantee audiences will openly celebrate at an outdoor venue during the first few days of Ramadan,” a UAE-based K-pop promoter stated. “Dubai Media City Amphitheater is an open-air space surrounded by offices and residential areas. An indoor arena might have been a more suitable venue choice in this instance.”
Prior to the Dubai show, G-Dragon will host his first solo fan meeting in Seoul from February 6th to 8th at KSPO Dome. He will then continue to meet fans in Yokohama, Japan, and Bangkok, Thailand.
