Artists from HYBE Labels have received numerous nominations for the ‘American Music Awards (AMA)’, one of the three major popular music awards in the United States.
According to the list of nominees for the ’52nd American Music Awards,’ announced on the 14th (local time), a total of nine HYBE ‘family’ teams have been nominated across 14 categories, showcasing their significant global impact.
Artists vying for AMA trophies include Big Hit Music’s BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, BELIFT LAB’s ENHYPEN and ILLIT, Source Music’s LE SSERAFIM, HYBE-Geffen Records’ KATSEYE, QC Music’s Quavo, and HYBE America-managed BigXthaPlug and Tyla.
The most anticipated group is Big Hit Music’s BTS. Returning after completing their mandatory military service, the global sensation has been nominated for the prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award. Furthermore, BTS is also a contender for ‘Best Male K-Pop Artist’ and aims for ‘Song of the Summer’ with their title track ‘SWIM’ from their 5th full-length album, ‘Arirang’.

Girl group KATSEYE, cultivated by HYBE-Geffen Records, is set to challenge for the highly coveted ‘New Artist of the Year’ title, the highest honor for a newcomer. They are also nominated for ‘Breakthrough Pop Artist’, a category highlighting artists who have shown remarkable growth and advancement. Their hit song ‘Gnarly’ will compete against works by prominent pop stars in the ‘Best Music Video’ category.
The presence of HYBE Music Group label artists is particularly strong in the K-Pop categories. For ‘Best Male K-Pop Artist’, three powerhouse teams are nominated: BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER from Big Hit Music, and ENHYPEN from BELIFT LAB. In the ‘Best Female K-Pop Artist’ category, Source Music’s LE SSERAFIM and BELIFT LAB’s ILLIT are both nominated, setting the stage for friendly competition and further establishing HYBE’s dominance in K-Pop.

HYBE artists also shine across country, hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats music genres. BigXthaPlug has been nominated for ‘Collaboration of the Year,’ ‘Best Country Song,’ and ‘Best Country Album.’ Rapper Quavo is a contender for ‘Best Hip-Hop Song.’ Tyla is vying for the ‘Social Song Of The Year’ and ‘Best Music Video’ trophies with her hit ‘CHANEL.’ Tyla’s nominations for ‘Best Female R&B Artist’ and ‘Best Afrobeats Artist’ further demonstrate her broad musical spectrum and global appeal.
HYBE currently operates 16 labels across four key regions: Korea, the United States, Japan, and Latin America. Each label maintains complete autonomy regarding its independence and creative output, fostering unique artistic expressions. By adapting its K-Pop production system to suit various global regions and supporting the development of compelling intellectual property (IP) and high-quality content locally, HYBE is actively transforming and enriching the global music market ecosystem.
