Former Enhypen member Heeseung officially launched his solo career in March under the new artist name, Evan. This highly anticipated solo debut follows his departure from the group to pursue individual artistic endeavors, marking a significant new chapter for the singer.
Evan’s debut single features two captivating tracks: the dynamic alternative rock lead track, “Ride or Die,” and the easy-listening indie pop B-side, “Overflow.” Belift Lab confirmed Evan’s extensive involvement in the project, noting his leading role in songwriting, composition, producing, and the overall visual creative direction, showcasing his evolution as a multifaceted K-pop artist.
Reflecting on his new journey, Evan shared through his agency, “For everyone, life is a process of finding one’s true self. As I continue making music, I believe I will discover the most authentic version of myself.”
The K-pop soloist also expressed his sincere hope that his new music release would offer “hope and comfort” to many listeners. “Just as the music of artists I loved gave me strength, I hope my music can become not only a source of hope but even a reason to keep going for someone,” Evan added, emphasizing his desire to connect deeply with his audience.
