Disney+ is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of its new Korean fantasy drama series next year. This captivating adaptation draws from the celebrated work of renowned Japanese novelist Keigo Higashino.
The series, reportedly titled “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store,” unravels the intriguing story of three young criminals. They seek refuge in an abandoned general store, where they become entangled in an extraordinary phenomenon: responding to letters seeking advice that mysteriously arrive from the past.
Esteemed actor Ryu is set to portray the enigmatic owner of the general store. The stellar ensemble cast also includes Kim Hye-yoon, Moon Sang-min, Go Ah-sung, and Park Hee-sun. Further elevating the series’ star power, acclaimed talents Yum Jung-ah, Yeom Hye-ran, and Jung Chae-yeon are confirmed to make special appearances.
Helming this ambitious project is Director Park Young-ju, known for the 2024 film “Citizen of a Kind,” who will oversee both the screenplay and direction for the Disney+ series.
