Art Busan Celebrates 15 Years: A Premier International Art Fair in South Korea
Marking its significant 15th anniversary, Art Busan is set to welcome art enthusiasts and collectors from May 21-24 at the renowned BEXCO convention center. Located in Busan, South Korea’s vibrant southeastern port city, this leading international art fair promises an unparalleled showcase of contemporary art.
This year, the Busan art fair proudly features an impressive international lineup, with nearly a quarter of its participating galleries hailing from overseas. Esteemed global players such as Gladstone Gallery, Tang Contemporary Art, and Whitestone Gallery will contribute to the fair’s diverse and high-caliber offerings, solidifying its status on the world art stage.
Further enriching the experience, over 30 galleries will make their debut at Art Busan. Notable first-time exhibitors include Hong Kong-based 3812 Gallery, Tokyo’s biscuit gallery, and Sydney’s Gallery LNL, bringing fresh perspectives and emerging talent to the exhibition.
Beyond the captivating displays, Art Busan is committed to engaging a broader audience, particularly young visitors. The organizers have planned a series of dynamic activities alongside the main event, including a unique community running program set against the stunning backdrop of Haeundae beach. This initiative underscores the fair’s dedication to creating an inclusive and immersive art experience for all in Busan.
