Global K-pop sensation BTS has once again demonstrated their unparalleled influence, securing a coveted nomination for Artist of the Year at the upcoming American Music Awards (AMAs). This significant nod places the South Korean boy group among an elite roster of international music titans, including Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga, as announced by organizers on Tuesday (U.S. time).
The septet’s latest achievement reignites excitement, as BTS famously made history in 2021 by becoming the first-ever Korean act to claim the AMA’s top honor. Their return to the Artist of the Year shortlist sparks high anticipation, with fans eagerly hoping for the group to clinch the prestigious award once more.
Beyond the top category, BTS has further solidified their standing with nominations in two additional highly competitive categories this year: Best Male K-pop Artist and the much-anticipated Song of the Summer. These nominations underscore their enduring popularity and musical impact across diverse genres.
Music enthusiasts worldwide can tune in to witness the excitement live. The American Music Awards ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and simultaneously streamed on Paramount+ directly from the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25.
