K-pop icons BIGBANG, featuring the powerhouse trio G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, triumphantly closed the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’s Outdoor Theatre stage in Indio, California. Their highly anticipated 50-minute set on April 12, 2026, electrified fans with a string of their biggest hits, including “Bang Bang Bang,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Loser.”
Addressing the ecstatic crowd, G-Dragon declared, “It took a long time for us to get here. BIGBANG is back!” He added, “Our 20th anniversary has just begun, and bigger things are coming, so please wait for a little longer,” fueling excitement for the group’s future endeavors.
Fellow member Daesung echoed the sentiment, expressing he had “waited so long for this moment” and promising fans that BIGBANG’s inaugural Coachella appearance would be “an unforgettable night.”
The massive screens across the stage ignited with BIGBANG’s iconic logo and the members’ names, intensifying the deafening cheers. A sea of yellow crown-shaped light sticks, the cherished symbol of the VIP (BIGBANG’s official fan base), swayed in unison, creating a truly spectacular K-pop concert atmosphere.
Since their debut in 2006, BIGBANG has been a pioneering force at the forefront of second-generation K-pop, captivating global audiences with a phenomenal string of hits, including “Lies,” “Haru Haru,” and “Last Farewell.” This highly anticipated Coachella performance marked a significant return, as the group last toured together in 2017 and had not released new music since the acclaimed digital single “Still Life” in 2022.
The Sunday set also showcased electrifying solo and unit stages, delighting fans with Taeyang’s dynamic “Ringa Linga,” G-Dragon’s powerful “Power,” and their celebrated joint track “Good Boy.” BIGBANG concluded their memorable performance with “Still Life,” reaffirming their commitment to continued group activities and a bright future.
“This year marks our 20th anniversary,” Taeyang shared, reflecting on the milestone. “Sharing this moment means a lot to us, and we look forward to what’s next for BIGBANG,” promising exciting new chapters for the legendary K-pop group.
Fans eager for more of BIGBANG’s electrifying stage presence can anticipate their return to the Coachella stage for another performance next Monday.
