BTS is making waves globally! Their latest track “Swim” topped Spotify’s global charts on Friday and Saturday, while “Body to Body” held strong in the second position, according to Spotify data. Both songs are maintaining their dominance at the top.
The album, “Arirang,” boasts impressive chart performance, with several other tracks breaking into the upper ranks. “Hooligan” secured the No. 4 spot, followed by “Fya” at No. 5, “Normal” at No. 6, and “Aliens” at No. 8.
Domestically, BTS is also reigning supreme. As of 11 a.m. Monday, “Swim” claimed the No. 1 position on Melon’s Top 100 chart, a leading Korean music streaming service. An impressive five tracks from the “Arirang” album are within the top 10.
The album’s success extends to Japan, where it sold approximately 540,000 copies on its first day, immediately topping Oricon’s daily album chart. Hanteo Chart reports that sales surpassed 4 million copies within just three days of its release in Japan.
After a nearly four-year hiatus from group projects, BTS celebrated their return as a complete seven-member group with a free concert at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul on Saturday, attracting tens of thousands of dedicated fans from across the globe.
The K-Pop sensation is scheduled to host a special fan event, “Spotify x BTS: Swimside,” in New York on Monday. Following this, they will appear on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday and Thursday.
