Seventeen’s Vernon and The8 are reportedly preparing to release a unit album in June, according to a source close to News Agency. Both members are said to be deeply involved in the album’s production process.
This new duo marks Seventeen’s sixth unit project. Previous units include the popular BSS (DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan), Jeonghan and Wonwoo, Hoshi and Woozi, S.Coups and Mingyu, and DK and Seungkwan.
Vernon, a key rapper in Seventeen, has a proven track record of songwriting and composing for the group since their debut. He was recently inducted as a voting member of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the prestigious Grammy Awards.
The8, the Chinese member known for his exceptional dance abilities, has already established himself with several solo releases in China, including the EP “Stardust.” He previously collaborated with Vernon on the track “Orbit,” where Vernon contributed to both the lyrics and composition.
Seventeen is currently captivating fans on their “New_” world tour and will soon be holding encore concerts at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, located approximately 30 kilometers west of Seoul, on April 4th and 5th.
