K-pop idol Mark, confirming his upcoming departure from NCT, recently engaged with fans on a communication platform before deactivating his account.

Addressing fans directly, Mark shared, “I wanted to tell you in person before but it was not something I could act on based on my personal feelings … everyone must have been quite surprised.” He expressed his apologies and gratitude to fans, promising a swift return, concluded with a poignant crying emoji.

This fan interaction followed SM Entertainment’s official announcement last Friday regarding Mark’s departure from NCT and the agency. His contract non-renewal will be effective April 8.

Mark’s illustrious 10-year career saw him as a key member of NCT, NCT Dream, NCT 127, and the supergroup Super M. Last year, he also released his successful debut solo full-length album, “The Firstfruit.”
