LX Pantos announced Sunday its strategic collaboration with SK Innovation E&S to significantly expand **solar power projects** across its **logistics centers**. This partnership marks a pivotal step in LX Pantos’ broader commitment to integrating **renewable energy** solutions into its global **logistics operations**, fostering sustainable supply chains.
The formal partnership was established in Seoul on Friday, with both companies dedicated to accelerating the rollout of advanced **solar facilities** and developing innovative **linked energy systems** throughout LX Pantos’ extensive **logistics network**.
Under the terms of this vital **agreement**, LX Pantos will furnish the necessary sites and infrastructure at its numerous **logistics centers**. Simultaneously, it will develop robust internal systems designed to generate, consume, and efficiently distribute the generated **renewable energy**. Concurrently, **SK Innovation E&S** will take charge of the comprehensive investment, design, construction, operation, and ongoing maintenance of these state-of-the-art **solar facilities**.
**LX Pantos** is poised to install new **solar systems** boasting a combined capacity of 2 megawatts across three key locations. These strategic sites include the Megawise Cheongna Center in Incheon, the New Port Eco Logistics Center in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, and the SC Yongin Center located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. This expansion underscores LX Pantos’ commitment to sustainable energy infrastructure.
Furthermore, the company intends to implement an innovative **energy linkage system**. This system will enable the seamless supply of electricity generated at the Yongin center directly to the Changwon facility, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and resource utilization across the network.
Upon its successful completion, this ambitious **renewable energy project** is projected to reduce **carbon emissions** by approximately 1,200 metric tons annually, contributing significantly to environmental sustainability goals.
**LX Pantos** has a proven track record, already operating a substantial 2.5-megawatt **solar facility** at its **Sihwa MTV Logistics Center**. Building on this success, the company plans to further expand similar sustainable energy systems throughout its broader **logistics network**, reinforcing its leadership in green logistics.
An **LX Pantos official** emphasized the transformative potential, stating, “This **partnership** establishes an exemplary model for evolving **logistics centers** into advanced infrastructure capable of both robust **renewable energy generation** and efficient **power sharing**. We are steadfast in our commitment to continually advance comprehensive **climate response strategies** and pioneering **ESG initiatives** specifically tailored for the dynamic **logistics industry**.”
