K-pop sensation NewJeans continues to break records, with their beloved 2022 hit, “Ditto,” officially surpassing an incredible 900 million streams on Spotify. Agency Ador confirmed this monumental achievement on Friday, highlighting the song’s enduring global popularity.
This makes “Ditto” NewJeans’ second track to achieve this significant streaming milestone, following the massive success of their chart-topping single, “OMG.”
Released in December 2022 as a B-side track from their highly anticipated single album “OMG,” “Ditto” quickly became a global phenomenon. The captivating dance track marked NewJeans’ historic first entry on both the prestigious Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 82, and the UK’s Official Singles Top 100, reaching No. 95.
Remarkably, the quintet set a new record by entering the Billboard Hot 100 in the shortest time for any Korean artist, achieving this incredible feat just six months after their debut.
Amidst these celebratory achievements, NewJeans is navigating an ongoing legal dispute. However, three members — Hani, Haein, and Hyein — have opted to reaffirm their commitment to Ador, while Minji is currently in discussions with the agency regarding her status.
