IU, Yena Fan Embrace, Successful Fan Interview

Choi Yena named IU and CORTIS as the artists she most wanted to see in the ‘AAA 2025’ lineup. She even found it amazing and happy just to be in the same place as IU. Choi Yena said, “The members of CORTIS performed so well. I learned a lot from their relaxed demeanor despite being rookies. I also met Choo Young-woo for the first time, and I was honored and grateful to be able to work with him on stage.”

When asked what award she would like to receive if she attends ‘AAA 2026’, Choi Yena mentioned IU again. She said, “I would be so grateful if I could have a collaboration with IU sunbaenim. We don’t have any personal connection yet. If things go as I say, I’ll throw it out there first.”

“I was thinking, what if IU sunbaenim appeared as a princess, and I joined as one of the seven dwarves, maybe the red one, and we danced together? Or, IU sunbaenim has a song called ‘Square Dream,’ so what if we remixed it with my ‘Nemo Nemo’? We could decorate the stage with squares and completely create a square world.”

In fact, Choi Yena and IU have met before. In March 2024, Choi Yena visited IU’s world tour concert in Yokohama, Japan, and took a friendly selfie with her.

Choi Yena reminisced, “I really enjoyed the concert because I like her so much, and afterwards, during the meet and greet, I asked, ‘If it’s not too much trouble, could I hug you just once?’ and I still vividly remember hugging her for the first time. She was so small and precious. She was like a fairy. It was so good,” she laughed.
