BTS members RM and Suga brought their signature wit and charm to Epik High’s signature ‘spicy talk’ session.
On March 26th, Epik High unveiled a new episode titled “Did You Eat? ft. BTS RM, Suga” on their official YouTube channel, ‘EPIKASE’.
Epik High prepared a heartfelt home-cooked meal for RM and Suga, who had returned from overseas schedules. RM showed his respect, saying, “These days, Gen Z thinks you guys are YouTubers,” and “If it weren’t for Epik High, there wouldn’t be a BTS.” Epik High jokingly replied, “YouTube comes first.” Mithra, who was in charge of cooking that day, stuck to his chef persona, adding, “Anyway, everyone thinks I’m a chef,” eliciting laughter.
RM, witnessing Epik High’s familiarity with various memes, exclaimed, “I need to learn from you guys.” Amidst the exchange of memes, Suga hilariously commented, “It’s amazing that this is a conversation between people in their 30s and 40s.” Epik High responded with affection, “In our eyes, you guys are always nineteen.”
An episode highlighting the friendship between Epik High, RM, and Suga also followed. Tablo praised Suga’s exceptional cooking skills, mentioning, “A year ago, Suga invited me over and made me rice cake soup.” Regarding RM obtaining his driver’s license, Tablo jokingly expressed his disappointment, saying, “Didn’t we form a ‘clumsy alliance’?” Nevertheless, they were delighted to find commonalities such as blood type and MBTI. RM, overwhelmed by Epik High’s unpredictable ‘spicy talk’, joked, “I don’t know how far I need to go,” causing another burst of laughter.

Ahead of BTS’s performance at Stanford Stadium, Epik High suggested taking a group photo at the ‘Crying Tree’, the filming location of a documentary about Tablo’s academic background controversy, leaving the members bewildered. Tablo, however, insisted, “It’s a good place to ward off bad luck,” and made a surprising promise, “If you take a picture there, I’ll start working on a solo album.”
Later, while enjoying the meal prepared by Mithra, they took time to look back on the history of BTS from Epik High’s perspective. From the story of first meeting Suga in 2010 when he was a trainee, to the story of Tablo first seeing the entire BTS group in a music show waiting room in 2014 when he was suffering from kidney stones, to the story of Suga sending a text message to Tablo before the live broadcast of the ‘American Music Awards (AMA)’ in 2017, behind-the-scenes stories that could not be seen anywhere else were revealed, and RM and Suga further enlivened the atmosphere with their candid talk.
Finally, Tablo commented on BTS’s comeback with ‘ARIRANG’, saying, “Just by choosing that as the album title, it creates a ripple effect,” and RM stated, “Because we are all Koreans, we thought we should redefine our own Arirang.” Tablo added, “It is even more meaningful that a globally loved group made that choice,” expressing his deep respect.
Meanwhile, Epik High continues to communicate with fans through ‘EPIKASE’, with diverse topics and guests every week.
