Global sensation BTS is taking over the world, illuminating the nights of not just Seoul, but also New York and London!
On March 25th at 10:30 PM KST, BTS unveiled the ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ compilation video on their official YouTube channel. This project transforms major cities worldwide into immersive media spaces and vibrant festival grounds in celebration of the group’s highly anticipated comeback.
London’s South Bank and New York’s Brooklyn Bridge joined the global celebration. The iconic London Eye was bathed in a brilliant red light, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Adjacent building facades featured media art showcasing the members holding traditional Korean lanterns (“Chongsa Chorong”) and the album’s logo. In New York, a mesmerizing drone show lit up the Manhattan skyline. The drones choreographed messages like “NEW YORK, WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG?”, “ARIRANG,” the group’s name “BTS,” and the number “7,” symbolizing the seven members, across the night sky. Hundreds of drones also formed the Big Dipper constellation, delivering a moving experience that transcended borders.

The video also captured the dazzling media facade in the heart of Seoul and the moments of shared excitement with the citizens. Shinsegae Square captivated viewers with its 3D visuals that made the members appear to jump out of the screen.
The media facade projected onto the Sungnyemun Gate, National Treasure No. 1, grandly displayed the silhouettes of BTS members walking gracefully. Thousands of citizens gathered, holding up their phones to capture the historic moment. The Sungnyemun Gate media facade, which took place on the 20th to commemorate BTS’s comeback, is considered a successful example of blending modern creativity with cultural heritage.
The festival atmosphere extended throughout the city. The N Seoul Tower displayed the “ARIRANG” album logo, and thousands of drones above Ttukseom Hangang Park meticulously recreated the faces of the seven members, eliciting enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. The “Love Song Lounge” at Yeouido Hangang Park also attracted citizens late into the night with busking performances and various interactive events.
‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’ has become a festival connecting Seoul, London, and New York. In Seoul, programs showcasing the city’s diverse attractions, such as the DDP ‘ARMY Madoang’ and Cheonggyecheon ‘Love Quarter,’ are scheduled to open.
