BTS Gwanghwamun Seoul Concert Return

BTS Gwanghwamun Seoul Concert Return

K-pop sensation BTS is holding a free concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul tonight, starting at 8 p.m. KST, to celebrate the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Arirang.”

This marks the group’s first collective release in three years and nine months, since their album “Proof” dropped in June 2022.

“Arirang,” named after the iconic Korean folk song deeply embedded in Korean culture, reflects BTS’ journey and identity originating from Korea, according to their agency, BigHit Music. The album is generating immense buzz among fans worldwide.

While the full setlist remains a secret, fans can expect performances of the lead single, “Swim,” and “Body to Body,” which incorporates elements of the traditional “Arirang” song. Leader RM previously hinted at the concert, expressing his hope for a collective singalong to “Arirang” during the show.

RM, who recently sustained an ankle injury during rehearsals, will participate in the performance but may modify some of the choreography, the agency confirmed.

Approximately 22,000 fans with tickets will be inside the venue, while police anticipate a massive crowd of around 260,000 people in the surrounding areas, extending to Seoul Plaza in front of City Hall.

The album’s title track, “Swim,” achieved immediate success, reaching the top of Melon’s Top 100 chart upon release. Physical album sales soared, reaching approximately 4 million copies on its first day.

Workers build the main stage at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul on March 20, 2026, for a live performance by K-pop group BTS. The concert, scheduled for March 21, marks its long-awaited comeback after nearly four years. ()
