BTS’s RM and Jin shared important reminders ahead of their comeback show in Gwanghwamun.
On the 19th, RM posted a message on the fan community Weverse, stating, “ARMY, we are so excited to meet you all in Gwanghwamun. As many people will be gathering, we ask for your cooperation in ensuring that everyone can enjoy the performance safely and pleasantly.”
He continued, “Please follow the instructions of the on-site staff and security personnel, and we look forward to seeing orderly behavior. We believe that a more wonderful performance can be achieved through the order and consideration of each and every ARMY member.” He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are truly grateful to the police officers, as well as all those from the fire department, government, and local authorities, who are working hard for safety.”
Jin also stated on the same day, “The comeback is already one day away. Thanks to the help and support of many people, we are able to hold a comeback show in Gwanghwamun.” He added, “It is an honor to greet you all together in such a meaningful place after a long time, and I want to express my gratitude to those who have helped us and to everyone who has been understanding.”
He also requested, “We will do our best to show you a great performance. Please be sure to pay attention to safety at the venue.”
Meanwhile, BTS is set to release their 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ on the 20th at 1 PM KST. This full-group album comes 3 years and 9 months after their anthology album ‘Proof’ in 2022. Produced by Bang Si-hyuk, this album explores BTS’s identity and universal emotions that many can relate to. The title track ‘SWIM’ is an upbeat alternative pop genre song that sings about the attitude of continuing to swim through the waves of life without stopping. RM took charge of writing the overall lyrics, capturing what BTS thinks now.
The day after the new album’s release, on the 21st at 8 PM KST, ‘BTS COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG’ will be held in the Gwanghwamun Square area. This comeback show will be broadcast live to over 190 countries around the world through Netflix. Watch BTS live and learn more about their new album!
