On March 19th at midnight KST, BTS unveiled an additional music video teaser for the title track “SWIM” from their new album ‘Arirang’ on their official social media and YouTube channel. The first teaser, released on March 18th, piqued curiosity with a woman looking at a ship model exhibited in a museum. This time, all seven members of BTS are fully revealed. The video begins by showcasing the bow of a white sailing ship cutting through the sea, set to the tune of “SWIM.” Standing side-by-side on the massive ship, the members steadfastly gaze forward. The magnificent, movie-like production and the members’ solid presence heighten anticipation for the full release.
The music video is directed by the world-renowned director Tanu Muino. He has collaborated with global pop stars like Post Malone, Doja Cat, and Dua Lipa, as well as directed Jungkook’s solo track, “Standing Next to You” music video. Global attention is focused on the sensational visual beauty that Tanu Muino’s unique mise-en-scène will deliver.
The title track “SWIM” is an upbeat alternative pop song that sings about the attitude of continuing forward through the waves of life. It expresses the will to calmly swim through the onrushing currents at one’s own pace with a ‘love for life.’ RM participated in the overall songwriting, adding depth to the song, and Chairman Bang Si-hyuk oversaw the overall production of the album, enhancing its completeness.
