BTS’s V is proving his immense popularity as his ‘VELVET RED’ version LP tops the bestseller list at Fnac, a major French retail chain, solidifying his title as the “Sold-Out King.”
BTS’s highly anticipated 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ set to be released on March 20th, began pre-sales in January. This album includes individual member LPs (vinyls). V’s ‘VELVET RED’ version LP is selling out quickly and achieving bestseller status and premium prices across various retailers worldwide.
As of March 17th, V’s ‘VELVET RED’ version LP has become the #1 bestseller in the vinyl category at Fnac in France, recording the highest sales volume. The group versions, ‘ARIRANG (B&W Ver) Deluxe’ and ‘ARIRANG (Color Ver) Deluxe,’ ranked 5th and 6th respectively.
V’s ‘VELVET RED’ LP initially sold out at Target, a major US retailer, being the first member LP to do so. It also sold out immediately upon release on the Weverse US Shop and has been repeatedly sold out and restocked since then, proving its immense popularity.
On Amazon Japan, V’s LP is the only member version to enter both the ‘Bestseller’ and ‘Hot New Releases’ categories, recording the highest pre-order sales. At Rakuten’s Good & Music, it is being sold at the highest price among all LP versions, yet it is completely sold out. It has also recorded the highest sales volume on Qoo10. In Korea, it topped the weekly bestseller list on Naver Store with just one day of pre-sales. V’s ‘VELVET RED’ version LP is proving the “V Effect” by recording the highest pre-order sales and sell-outs in Korea, the United States, France, and Japan.
BTS will release their album on March 20th and hold a comeback 기념 live performance in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, on the 21st. The ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL’ project, which can be enjoyed throughout the city, will also be held. Paradise City and Compose Coffee, where V is campaigning, will participate in the STAY and F&B events to celebrate BTS’s comeback.
