Netflix’s animated hit “KPop Demon Hunters,” fresh off its two Oscar wins earlier this week, is seeing its original soundtrack soar on the US Billboard charts, according to the latest updates released Wednesday.
“Golden,” a standout track from the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack, climbed to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its 38th consecutive week on the prestigious chart.
Another popular song from the same soundtrack, “How It’s Done,” maintained its position at No. 86 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack album also experienced a boost, rising to No. 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart, extending its impressive run to 38 weeks as well.
It’s important to note that these Billboard rankings reflect data collected from March 6th to 12th, prior to the Academy Awards ceremony.
In other Billboard 200 news, K-pop sensation BLACKPINK’s latest EP, “Deadline,” slipped from No. 8 to No. 41 in its second week on the chart.
Boy group Enhypen’s “The Sin: Vanish” secured the No. 61 spot, while Katseye’s “Beautiful Chaos” ranked at No. 116, and Ateez’s “Golden Hour: Part. 4” landed at No. 192.
Meanwhile, pop icon Harry Styles dominated the Billboard 200 with his new album, “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally,” with a remarkable 12 tracks entering the Hot 100, including “American Girls” peaking at No. 4. (Yonhap)
