Excitement is building for BTS’s upcoming comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square! According to recent reports, BTS is planning to hold rehearsals at a separate, undisclosed location prior to the highly anticipated concert.
This decision to hold off-site rehearsals is primarily driven by safety and security concerns ahead of the March 21st concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. KST.
While fans often hope to catch a glimpse of their favorite artists during rehearsals at the venue itself, this time things are different. The move away from the traditional rehearsal location is likely to protect the element of surprise for the show. Performing rehearsals in an open space could potentially reveal key details of the performance, including the setlist and new song previews.
Moreover, the decision to rehearse elsewhere also addresses concerns about managing large crowds and mitigating noise disturbances in the surrounding area. The rehearsal site is being designed to closely replicate the actual concert environment, ensuring the highest possible production quality for the live show.

The Gwanghwamun Square concert marks BTS’s first full-group performance in over three years, following the members’ individual military enlistments. The hour-long show makes BTS the first K-pop group to headline an exclusive live performance at this historic landmark.
The scale of the concert is expected to be immense, with the viewing area stretching for approximately one kilometer from the Gwanghwamun intersection towards City Hall Station.
The venue can accommodate roughly 22,000 fans, divided into three distinct sections: Area A (standing), Area B (reserved seating), and Area C (additional seating).
Authorities are preparing for a massive turnout, anticipating up to 260,000 attendees in the area. Big Hit Music has emphasized that prioritizing safety measures is their top concern for the event. Police have announced that approximately 4,800 personnel, including mobile police units and local officers, will be deployed on the day of the concert. Special police forces will also be strategically stationed to respond to potential threats, such as knife attacks, vehicle incidents, or acts of terrorism. Furthermore, 56 police personnel will be dedicated to monitoring and preventing ticket scalping on site.
During a recent meeting, President Lee Jae Myung instructed officials to make thorough preparations for crowd control, given the expected high turnout for the BTS concert.
Adding to the anticipation, BTS will be releasing their fifth LP, “Arirang,” on March 20th, the day before the concert.
