BTS V Dominates Social Media at CELINE Hiver 2026 Show, Despite Absence



BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, emerged as the hottest topic surrounding the CELINE 2026 Winter Collection, even without being physically present at the Paris show.
CELINE held its ‘CELINE Hiver 2026’ collection show at the Institut de France in Paris during Paris Fashion Week on March 7th (local time). Although CELINE’s global ambassador V did not attend the event in person, the official CELINE account posted a photoshoot featuring him on X (formerly Twitter), sharing it with the hashtags “#V #CELINE #CELINEHiver2026”.
The post generated significant buzz. Prior to the show, V previewed the collection’s atmosphere by releasing CELINE pictorials on his Instagram. In the revealed photos, V showcased sharp tailored silhouettes with a combination of a black coat, crisp black shirt, and patterned tie, as well as a double-breasted overcoat paired with corduroy trousers. A red CELINE scarf with the phrase “Bienvenue chez nous dans l’hiver (Welcome to our home in winter)” added a striking accent to the monochrome palette. The post garnered over 109,000 likes.
Social media reactions were explosive. Fan account ‘belbel’ wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “CELINE was like, ‘Taehyung, it’s okay. Just take the whole collection.’ The aura is too strong. He’s not just an ambassador, he’s the brand itself. Even without being at the show, his impact is on another level.” Another fan commented, “It’s only natural to call him ‘Kim CELINE.’ V is unparalleled in terms of impact, revenue, and EMV (Earned Media Value).”
Actual figures support these claims. According to a social media buzz analysis of Paris Fashion Week by global social media analytics company Onclusive, which included 234 celebrities and influencers, V, despite not attending the show, ranked 21st. Fans expressed their amazement at his fashion influence, noting, “He ranked 21st even though he wasn’t there!”
The connection between V and CELINE dates back to March 2023. Creative Director Hedi Slimane personally appointed V as a global ambassador, christening him “CELINE Boy,” marking the beginning. Since then, they have continued various collaborations, including the Seoul pop-up opening, the Cannes Film Festival dinner, and a pictorial shoot for Elle Korea. At the CELINE Été 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week last October, V generated $13.1 million (approximately ₩19 billion KRW) in EMV with just two posts, ranking third among all influencers.
The BTS members are scheduled to release their full group comeback album ‘Arirang’ on March 20th.
