Rookie K-pop boy group Alpha Drive One is gearing up to hold their debut showcase in Tokyo on March 13th, according to their agency, WakeOne Entertainment. This highly anticipated event promises to be a memorable experience for fans.
The showcase is expected to draw around 1,000 fans eager to celebrate the success of their debut EP, “Euphoria,” released in January. Despite not yet launching official promotions in Japan, Alpha Drive One’s Korean debut album impressively secured the No. 3 spot on Oricon’s Weekly and Weekly Combined Album Rankings, demonstrating their rising popularity.
“Euphoria” achieved remarkable first-week sales, exceeding 1.44 million copies, making it the second-highest selling debut album by any K-pop group. The title track, “Freak Alarm,” propelled the group to success, earning them four prestigious trophies on domestic television music chart shows. This accomplishment made Alpha Drive One the first boy group in nine years to achieve first place on all three major Korean music programs.
