SHINee’s Onew achieves global success with his latest solo EP “Tough Love,” topping iTunes Top Albums Chart in nine regions, according to his agency, Griffin Entertainment, on Wednesday. This marks a significant milestone in his solo career.
The highly anticipated five-track EP “Tough Love,” released on Monday, showcases Onew’s evolving artistry. Notably, Onew co-wrote all five tracks on the album, including the captivating title track – a first for the seasoned K-pop idol. The title track also soared to the top of the real-time songs chart on Bugs, a popular Korean music streaming platform.
To celebrate the album’s release, a dedicated “Tough Love” pop-up store is open in Seoul until March 15, offering fans a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Onew’s musical world.
Onew, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group SHINee, made his solo debut in 2018. Since then, he has consistently released music, including four mini-albums and two full-length albums, solidifying his position as a prominent solo artist in the Korean music scene.
