Following the announcement of Heeseung’s departure from the K-pop group ENHYPEN, speculation arises whether this is connected to the recent cancellation of the group’s fan signing event. Explore the latest news and fan reactions.
On March 10th, BELIFT LAB stated, “We have been considering and discussing the future direction and goals of ENHYPEN. After in-depth conversations with each member about their individual aspirations and the team’s direction, we acknowledged Heeseung’s clear musical inclination and decided to respect his decision.”
The statement continued, “Accordingly, Heeseung will be pursuing his career independently from ENHYPEN. ENHYPEN will continue its activities with a six-member system from the upcoming official schedules.” Heeseung will only be leaving ENHYPEN as a group member, remaining under BELIFT LAB with plans to release a solo album in the future.
Heeseung also shared a handwritten letter on the same day, stating, “After much consideration, I have made a big decision to approach ENGENEs with a better version of myself, following the direction suggested by the company.” He added, “I still want to be someone who supports ENHYPEN more than anyone else,” revealing the fact of his departure.

With this news, some fans are voicing suspicions that the recent cancellation of ENHYPEN’s fan signing event is related to Heeseung’s departure from the group. #ENHYPEN #Heeseung #Kpop #BELIFTLAB #SoloDebut
Previously, on March 2nd, Hello Live, the platform for the fan signing event, canceled the ENHYPEN video call fan signing event, which was scheduled for that day, citing the artists’ poor condition. At the time, Hello Live stated, “This event will be rescheduled,” and added, “We will promptly re-announce the changed schedule as soon as it is confirmed.”
The exact health status of the members was not disclosed at the time. As the day was also a substitute holiday for the March 1st Independence Movement Day, some fans demanded refunds if a suitable alternative date couldn’t be found. However, refunds were not offered, leading to fan dissatisfaction.
