Heeseung is leaving Enhypen to embark on a solo career, Belift Lab officially announced on Tuesday. This move marks a significant shift for both the artist and the K-pop group.

The agency shared the news with fans via the fan community platform Weverse, stating that discussions had been ongoing regarding the group’s future trajectory and individual members’ aspirations.

Belift Lab explained that these discussions involved in-depth conversations about each member’s vision and the overall direction of Enhypen. During these talks, Heeseung articulated a distinct musical direction he wished to explore. After careful consideration, the agency decided to support his artistic ambitions and grant him the opportunity to pursue a solo path.

“While a complete explanation of the decision-making process is challenging to convey concisely, this decision follows a lengthy period of thoughtful deliberation,” the agency stated, acknowledging the potential difficulty for fans while requesting their understanding and continued support. This announcement is a pivotal moment for Enhypen fans and the K-Pop community.

Shortly after the announcement, Heeseung addressed fans directly on Weverse with a handwritten letter confirming the news. He expressed gratitude to his former Enhypen groupmates and thanked fans (Engenes) for their unwavering support.

With Heeseung’s departure, Enhypen will continue their activities as a six-member group. Heeseung will remain under Belift Lab management as he prepares to release his solo album.
