K-pop sensation BLACKPINK achieves top 20 on the UK Official Albums Chart with their highly anticipated third EP, “Deadline.”
The new record, BLACKPINK’s first group release since 2022, debuted impressively at No. 11 on the prestigious Official Albums Chart Top 100 on Friday (local time), marking a successful first week after its release on February 27th.
The EP’s lead single, “Go,” also made a strong impact, debuting at No. 44 on the separate Official Singles Chart Top 100.
According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s agency, the five-track album explores themes of self-assurance, personal growth, and unwavering unity, seamlessly blending elements of EDM, hip-hop, and pop music.
“Go” showcases powerful sound production and a catchy, chant-driven hook. The album also includes the prerelease track “Jump,” the retro hip-hop inspired “Me and My,” the anthemic track “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy,” described as a more nuanced and emotionally resonant song.
