2NE1’s Park Bom Sparks Concern After Re-Posting Controversial Message Targeting Sandara Park
Park Bom of the iconic K-pop group 2NE1 has ignited controversy after re-uploading a message on her Instagram account, initially deleted, that appears to target fellow member Sandara Park. The post has drawn significant attention and sparked worry among fans.
On March 5th, Park Bom shared a photo with the caption “To. A letter to the people… #ParkBom,” essentially reposting a handwritten letter she had previously shared.
The re-uploaded message contained the same content from March 3rd, including claims that she never used drugs and accusations implying Sandara Park was responsible for her being labeled as a drug user. This has amplified concerns regarding her mental state and the potential impact on her relationships with former group members.
Worried fans flooded the comments section with messages such as, “We love you, but can you stop?”, “Unnie, please go to the hospital, I’m so worried,” “Noona, I’m so worried about you,” “Please stop all this that hurts the group and members,” and “Unnie… are you meeting your family? Someone please take care of Bom unnie.”

In the lengthy handwritten letter, Park Bom addressed her past drug controversy, stemming from a 2010 incident where she imported Adderall, a psychotropic medication containing amphetamine, without proper customs declaration. She received a stay of prosecution in 2014. She reiterated, “I don’t want to talk about it again. Because it might be the road to ruin. I died back then. But I bravely say it. That’s not drugs. I am an ADD patient.”
Park Bom directly implicated Sandara Park, claiming, “Park Sandara was caught with drugs, and they made me a drug addict to cover it up. At that time, there was no law itself regarding Adderall in the country. Strangely, laws were created after Park Bom.”
Furthermore, Park Bom also targeted YG Entertainment’s former CEO Yang Hyun Suk, producer Teddy, and fellow 2NE1 member CL. She wrote, “YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk, Teddy Park (Teddy), and Lee Chae Rin (CL) should not report to the country that Park Bom used more drugs than the prescribed amount for almost 30 years without using any drugs,” adding, “I write this because my soul feels like it’s crying.”

Sandara Park responded on March 4th by stating on her Instagram, “I have never done drugs. I hope she is healthy,” seemingly attempting to diffuse the situation. Following this incident, Park Bom was removed from Sandara Park’s Instagram following list, leaving only CL and Gong Minzy.
While many hoped the situation would be resolved after Park Bom deleted her initial post and Sandara Park issued a statement, Park Bom’s decision to repost the same message has reignited the controversy and created a more delicate situation.
Park Bom has previously raised concerns with numerous unsubstantiated claims on social media, leading to speculation about her mental well-being. She previously sparked self-proclaimed dating rumors with actor Lee Min Ho and publicly released a lawsuit against Yang Hyun Suk, causing significant repercussions. At the time, her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, stated, “The lawsuit has not been filed. Park Bom is focused on treatment and recovery.”
Park Bom and 2NE1 reunited for a tour after 2024, but she temporarily halted her activities in August of last year due to health reasons.
