BTS Album SWIM Tracklist Revealed

BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) is making a comeback with ‘SWIM,’ a song about love for life.

On March 4th, BTS revealed the tracklist for their 5th full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ on the group’s official social media. The album logo and the red tape-shaped graphic leave a strong impression. The new album features a total of 14 tracks, including the title track ‘SWIM,’ as well as ‘Body to Body,’ ‘Hooligan,’ ‘Aliens,’ ‘FYA,’ ‘2.0,’ ‘No. 29,’ ‘Merry Go Round,’ ‘NORMAL,’ ‘Like Animals,’ ‘they don’t know ’bout us,’ ‘One More Night,’ ‘Please,’ and ‘Into the Sun.’

The new album encompasses BTS’s identity and the emotions accumulated from their journey so far. The title track ‘SWIM’ is an upbeat alternative pop genre song. It sings about the attitude of continuing to swim through the waves of life without stopping. The will to calmly overcome the incoming flow at their own pace is expressed as ‘love for life.’ RM took charge of writing the lyrics, adding authenticity to the song’s message.

The first track, ‘Body to Body,’ is a song that shouts to enjoy with the audience who visit the concert hall. ‘Hooligan’ contains the time spent blazing a trail while traversing the world. ‘Aliens,’ which contains ambitions towards the world, and ‘FYA,’ which shows the heat of the comeback, are also included. ‘2.0’ shows the current state of the seven members entering a new phase.

Following the sixth track ‘No. 29’ and the title track, ‘Merry Go Round’ is a story about enduring the recurring cycles of life. ‘NORMAL’ deals with the emotions felt inside and outside the stage. ‘Like Animals’ expresses the will to live passionately, and ‘they don’t know ’bout us’ reveals confidence, saying, “We’re just ourselves.” ‘One More Night’ sings about the desire to stay in a blissful moment longer. ‘Please’ contains the honest feelings of wanting to be together in any situation. ‘Into the Sun,’ which is themed around a confession of running to you, decorates the finale.

BTS held songwriting sessions in Los Angeles, USA, last summer and worked on music. Star producers with Grammy Award-winning history such as Diplo, Ryan Tedder, and El Guincho added their strength to enhance the completeness.

Meanwhile, BTS will release ‘ARIRANG’ on March 20th at 1 PM KST. On the following day, the 21st, they will hold ‘BTS COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG’ in the Gwanghwamun Square area. This stage will be broadcast live on Netflix.
