Girl group BLACKPINK’s mini album ‘DEADLINE’ has topped the Hanteo Weekly Album Chart just two and a half days after its release.
According to Hanteo Chart on March 2nd, ‘DEADLINE’ ranked first on the weekly album chart for the 5th week of February (aggregated from February 23rd to March 1st) with sales of 1,470,920 copies. This chart-topping achievement was reached with only two and a half days of sales data since its release on February 27th at 2 PM KST.
This record was foreshadowed from the very first day of release. ‘DEADLINE’ sold 1,461,785 copies on its release day alone, based on Hanteo Chart data, setting a new milestone for the highest first-day sales in K-pop girl group history. This demonstrates the explosive anticipation from fans worldwide for the group’s first full-group album in approximately 3 years and 5 months.
YG Entertainment stated, “Global demand for the album has far exceeded initial expectations, and we are currently in the process of additional production. We ask for your continued anticipation for the new records that BLACKPINK will once again write.”
‘DEADLINE’ topped the iTunes album charts in 38 regions, securing the worldwide number one spot. It also achieved a “line-up” (dominating the charts) on QQ Music, China’s largest music platform, with the title track ‘GO’ and all the b-side tracks entering the top ranks. The ‘GO’ music video ranked #1 on YouTube’s latest chart (February 27, 2026) as the global daily most popular music video.
