South Korean K-Pop supergroup EXO has successfully concluded a series of pop-up events across China, celebrating the release of their eighth studio album, “Reverxe.” The events were held in partnership with leading Chinese music platform QQ Music.
These month-long pop-ups took place in shopping complexes across 13 cities in China, originally planned for fewer locations but expanded to meet the overwhelming demand from EXO-Ls (EXO’s fanbase). SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, reported that the events attracted over 600,000 visitors nationwide.
Earlier this month, members of EXO personally visited Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen to show their appreciation to their Chinese fans. The members participated in autograph sessions and photo opportunities with attendees.
Released in January, EXO’s eighth full-length album, “Reverxe,” quickly soared to the top of the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 47 regions worldwide. The album’s title track, “Crown,” has already garnered significant recognition, earning the group five wins on South Korean television music chart programs.
Looking ahead, EXO is scheduled to kick off a world tour with three highly anticipated concerts in Seoul on April 10th, 11th, and 12th. The tour is expected to continue, reaching 13 additional cities around the globe.
