BTS’s Jin proves his blazing worldwide popularity as his song echoes at the Olympics.
On February 9th (Korean time), during the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Jin’s ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ graced the arena after the free skate performance of Canadian pair skaters Lia Pereira and Trent Michaud, adding a touch of beauty to the Olympic stage.
Released on May 16th (Korean time), the title track ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ from Jin’s second solo mini-album ‘Echo’ topped the Spotify Global Chart (May 25th), making it the first Asian artist song of 2025 to reach number one on the Spotify Global Chart and the most-streamed K-pop song of 2025 on Spotify.
Jin’s clear yet melancholic voice shines in ‘Don’t Say You Love Me,’ which also charmed audiences as background music on ‘France’s Got Talent’ (La France a un incroyable talent) in December of last year.
Jin’s first solo single, ‘The Astronaut,’ was the only Asian solo song included in Amazon’s AWS SKO 23 (Amazon Web Services Sales Kickoff 23) official playlist of 98 songs, standing shoulder to shoulder with timeless legends like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Queen. AWS SKO is a large-scale event with leading IT partners and related companies from around the world, and the songs on the playlist were featured at the IT event attended by tens of thousands of people from around the world for three to four nights.
At ‘CES 2025,’ the world’s largest IT trade show held in Las Vegas last year, Jin’s solo track ‘I’ll Be There’ was prominently featured and played throughout the event alongside his campaign as a Dolby global model.
Jin’s songs are frequently featured in global broadcast programs and major sporting events. In December 2024, Jin’s ‘Running Wild’ was featured during the NFL football game between the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions. The latest song by global superstar Jin was played during the prime-time U.S. national sports TV broadcast on CBS. ‘Running Wild’ also appeared several times on MBC’s vote counting broadcast for the 21st presidential election in June 2025, causing a great sensation.
Meanwhile, Jin continues his special connection with the Olympics, having served as a torchbearer for the ‘2024 Paris Summer Olympics’ in Paris, France in July 2024. Jin was unusually the first runner in the Louvre Museum section, a landmark in Paris and a former palace, on France’s largest national holiday, ‘Bastille Day.’ Billboard mentioned ‘BTS Jin’s torch relay’ as the first of the ’10 Things to Expect at the 2024 Summer Olympics,’ and France’s largest weekly magazine, Paris Match, introduced Jin as the only foreigner among the 31 stars carrying the torch, calling him ‘the true prince who ascended to the throne 235 years after the French Revolution.’
