K-pop powerhouse Hybe’s new subsidiary, ABD, officially opened its social media channels on Monday, revealing the highly anticipated name of its upcoming girl group: **Tuide**.
The group’s unique name, Tuide, draws inspiration from the phrase “Tune the tide,” encapsulating their ambitious vision to create a fresh wave of joy and influence within the global K-pop scene.
As a dedicated arm of the K-pop behemoth Hybe, ABD is exclusively focused on developing and launching innovative girl groups. Their inaugural act, Tuide, is set to debut with seven talented members, prominently featuring **Seoyeon**, known as the youngest sister of Twice’s revered leader, **Jihyo**.
Initial glimpses of Tuide were offered in a May short video, where three members, including Seoyeon, were introduced. This video also spotlighted ABD as an affiliate spearheaded by renowned K-pop producer **Han Sung-soo**, a mastermind behind the immense success of groups like **Seventeen**, **TWS**, and **Iz*One**. Han Sung-soo, previously a key figure at **Pledis Entertainment**, further solidified his industry standing by being recognized as one of Billboard’s Indie Power Players in May.
Fans can anticipate the official debut of Tuide, Hybe’s exciting new girl group, by the end of this year, marking a significant entry into the K-pop landscape.
