BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has released a stunning dance video filmed in Paris, garnering an explosive reaction from fans worldwide.
On the 16th, V posted a 28-second dance video on his TikTok account (@tete) with the caption “Lights off!”, tagging six crew members including dancer and video creator Dyson Campbell. In the video, V performs a striking choreography featuring controlled footwork and rotational moves, alongside dancers dressed in white.
Resembling a hip-hop music video, this clip stands out with its cinematic direction and editing. Within just 21 hours of its release, the video garnered 9.7 million views, 4.8 million likes, over 97,000 comments, and more than 323,000 shares, quickly becoming a hot topic across social media.
Notably, fellow BTS member Jungkook also left a comment on the video, capturing significant attention. Jungkook playfully asked, “When did you film this? lolololol,” and his comment received over 600 likes.
International fans also showed an enthusiastic response. V also set a record on the 6th, becoming the first K-pop male idol to surpass 75 million followers on his personal TikTok account. This significant milestone comes just about six months after reaching 70 million in January, marking an additional 5 million followers and a 7.14% increase. He is also the sixth male musician worldwide to achieve 75 million followers. @BTSVChartData reported, “V is the first and only K-pop male artist to achieve this record, reaching this milestone the fastest in K-pop history.” Known for his energetic presence even off stage, he previously gained attention in April by sharing moments of enjoying pickleball with fellow member Jin during a tour. Meanwhile, BTS is set to hold their final European performances of the ‘ARIRANG’ world tour on the 17th and 18th at the Stade de France in Paris. This marks their first visit to Paris in seven years since 2019, and the concert is considered one of the largest on their current tour, which spans 79 shows across 34 regions.
