The leading financial group announced Wednesday the official launch of the **KB AI Lab** during its recent AI and data innovation seminar. This pivotal event was held Tuesday at the KB Kookmin Bank’s headquarters in Yeouido, a central financial hub in western Seoul, showcasing the group’s commitment to cutting-edge financial technology.
Designed as a project-based learning experience, the **KB AI Lab** program targets high-achieving graduates from the top-tier of KB AI Academy’s expert nurturing course. Participants will be empowered to identify real-world challenges within their daily workflows and develop practical, deployable AI services specifically tailored for actual business operations and enhanced customer experiences.
Following this initial rollout, KB Financial Group has strategic plans to expand this impactful AI talent development program across all its affiliates, strengthening its group-wide AI capabilities and expertise.
The seminar also showcased several cutting-edge applications developed under **KB With AI**, the group’s transformative strategy focused on embedding artificial intelligence into routine tasks to help employees generate greater value. A standout innovation introduced was **KB DAVIS**, a sophisticated, personalized data analysis agent. KB DAVIS intelligently responds to natural-language queries, providing relevant data, in-depth analysis, and intuitive visualized reports to empower data-driven decisions.
Further enhancing its AI infrastructure, the group unveiled the **AI Dev Center**, a state-of-the-art facility where multiple AI agents collaboratively handle software design, coding, and comprehensive testing. Additionally, the **KB Kookmin Commercial District Vitality Index** was introduced. This powerful tool leverages extensive data from KB’s banking and card units to meticulously assess and provide insights into the vitality of commercial districts nationwide, offering invaluable market intelligence.
“In the rapidly evolving AI era, every interaction generates valuable data, and our ability to effectively harness this data is becoming a critical source of competitive advantage,” stated KB Financial Group Chairman Yang Jong-hee. He emphasized, “We are committed to supporting and empowering our employees as they continue to learn, grow, and create new, impactful value through the strategic application of artificial intelligence.”
