NCT 127 Members Unanimously Renew Contracts with SM Entertainment

In a significant development for the global K-pop scene, all seven active members of the renowned idol group NCT 127 have officially renewed their exclusive contracts with their agency, SM Entertainment. This unanimous decision was confirmed by the label on Wednesday, ensuring the continuation of one of K-pop’s leading boy groups.

SM Entertainment highlighted that this collective contract renewal stems from the deep, strong bond shared among the NCT 127 members and their unwavering trust in the management company, cultivated throughout their successful career. Notably, even those members whose original contracts had not yet reached their expiration date chose to renew in advance, underscoring their commitment to the group’s future.

The NCT subunit, which made its highly anticipated debut in July 2016, has since navigated various phases of its journey. While members Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service and are anticipated to be discharged next year, the group’s steadfast resolve and unity remain a driving force.

Excitement is building as Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan prepare to celebrate a decade together with the release of NCT 127’s highly anticipated seventh studio album. Slated for August 24, this album marks the first new material from the K-pop powerhouse in approximately two years, promising fresh hits for their dedicated fanbase. Following the album release, the group is scheduled to embark on an extensive tour, commencing on September 18 across six cities in Asia, bringing their dynamic performances to a wider audience.
