BTS’s Jungkook secured the 153rd position on the Billboard ‘Global (Excl. US)’ chart dated July 11 with his first solo debut song, ‘Seven’. This marks its 155th week on the chart since its release, making it the first and longest-running track by an Asian solo artist to achieve this feat.
On the same chart published by the US music media outlet ‘Billboard’, ‘Seven’ previously held the No. 1 spot for nine consecutive weeks. It also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s main singles chart, the ‘Hot 100’, and remained on the chart for 15 weeks.
‘Seven’ also ranked 21st on Billboard Korea’s ‘Global K-Songs’ chart dated July 11, marking its 32nd week. Jungkook’s other solo tracks, ‘Standing Next To You’ and ‘3D’, also appeared on the same chart for their 32nd week, at 73rd and 89th respectively.
On the Spotify main chart, ‘Weekly Top Song Global’, ‘Seven’ has been charting for its 156th week, making it the first and longest-running song by an Asian solo artist to do so. This track also became the first by an Asian artist, and the first 2023 release, to surpass 3 billion streams.
