Big Bang member Daesung’s agency has officially denied dating rumors involving the idol and KARA member Heo Youngji.
On June 22, Daesung’s agency, R&D Company, informed Star News that “Daesung and Heo Youngji are close colleagues.”
The dating speculation arose recently after photos of Daesung and Heo Youngji attending a MAMAMOO concert together began circulating across various online communities and social media platforms.
The images showed Daesung and Heo Youngji in a friendly atmosphere, standing close, examining lightsticks, engaging in conversation, and sharing laughter, which quickly fueled the dating rumors among fans.
Adding to the speculation, past comments made by Daesung on his YouTube channel ‘Zip Daesung’ were brought back into the spotlight. Last year, he mentioned Heo Youngji, stating, “Taeyang hyung told me to give it a try with her.” He further joked, “He also told me to try my best when Chungha was on the show, and this time he said Youngji was good. Perhaps our ‘tiki-taka’ (chemistry) was just that great,” which garnered amusement from viewers.
However, it has since been reported that Oh My Girl member Hyojung also accompanied Daesung and Heo Youngji to the concert at the time.
