This data, compiled by the Korean Film Council for its weekend chart (covering Friday through Sunday), solidifies “Colony’s” position as a major cinematic event.
This remarkable achievement makes “Colony” only the second movie released this year to successfully cross the coveted **5-million admissions milestone**, following in the footsteps of the acclaimed Korean history drama, “The King’s Warden.”
Directed by the visionary Yeon Sang-ho, renowned for his global hit “Train to Busan” (2016), “Colony” delivers a high-octane zombie thriller. The film stars the iconic Jun Ji-hyun as biotechnology professor Se-jeong, who leads a desperate group of survivors.
