BTS’s Jin continues to demonstrate his powerful presence as a solo artist, notably achieving significant recognition in Japan.
On June 13th, Jin’s solo track “Don’t Say You Love Me” received the prestigious ‘Best of Listeners Choice: International Song’ award at the ‘Music Awards Japan’ (MAJ), solidifying his impact on the Japanese music scene.

Spotify Japan officially announced Jin’s win on their social media, expressing gratitude to all who participated in the ‘Music Awards Japan’ (MAJ) voting through their platform. This award is a direct reflection of fan votes cast on Spotify, highlighting Jin’s immense popularity.
“Don’t Say You Love Me” serves as the powerful title track from Jin’s second solo mini-album, ‘Echo,’ which dropped on May 16, 2025. This hit track quickly climbed to No. 1 on the Spotify Global Chart (dated May 25, 2025), making history as the first song by an Asian artist released in 2025 to achieve this coveted top spot globally.

Furthermore, Jin holds the impressive record for the longest cumulative No. 1 ranking on Spotify Japan among all K-Pop solo artists. While BTS’s “Butter” achieved 100 days at No. 1 and “Dynamite” recorded 84 days, Jin’s “Don’t Say You Love Me” proudly held the top position for an impressive 80 days on the Japanese Spotify chart.
Jin’s influence extends to Billboard Japan’s 2026 first-half year-end charts. “Don’t Say You Love Me” secured the 63rd spot on the comprehensive singles chart, ‘Hot 100’. This marks the highest position ever achieved by a K-Pop solo artist on this chart, and Jin is the sole K-Pop solo artist to appear on it. He also made a significant entry at 85th on the ‘Artist 100’ chart.

Furthermore, his mini-album ‘Echo’ achieved 41st place on the Billboard Japan 2025 Annual ‘Top Album Sales Chart’. This remarkable feat makes Jin the first K-Pop solo artist to successfully chart all of his solo releases – one single and two albums from 2022, 2024, and 2025 – on the annual ‘Top Album Sales Chart’. ‘Echo’ also made a significant impact on Oricon’s 2025 Annual Chart, landing at 39th place, once again marking it as the highest-ranking and only K-Pop solo album to enter the chart.
