Global sensation BTS has completely transformed Las Vegas with the captivating spirit of ‘Arirang’.

Ahead of their Las Vegas concerts on the 23rd-24th and 27th-28th (local time), BTS launched the immersive city-wide campaign ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – LAS VEGAS’ on the 20th. While their 2022 concert bathed the city in a vibrant purple, this year, they captivated Las Vegas with the striking red, the key color of their new album ‘ARIRANG’.

The highlight of this extraordinary project was the spectacular activation of ‘The Sphere,’ the world’s largest spherical performance venue. On the night of the concert, the colossal Sphere captivated onlookers as it was filled with an ethereal pink mist. Silhouettes of BTS members holding traditional Korean cheongsachorong lanterns appeared gracefully on the Sphere’s exterior. Amidst strong sand gusts, a massive bell, evoking a sense of profound traditional Korean beauty, was dramatically revealed. As the spherical surface rippled like liquid, and the grand vibrations of the bell spread everywhere, the distinct logo of their new album emerged. Subsequently, thought-provoking messages like ‘What Is Your Love Song?’ and ‘What Is Your Arirang?’ sequentially filled the exterior, transforming The Sphere into a singular, awe-inspiring album art object.

The iconic ‘Strip’ area, Las Vegas’s main commercial district, was awash in a vibrant red. Landmarks such as the High Roller, the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, and The Las Vegas Gateway Arches, along with numerous prominent hotels, simultaneously illuminated in a striking crimson hue. Across more than 30 digital billboards city-wide, a dynamic ‘BTS Welcome OOH Takeover’ unfolded, with welcoming messages like ‘WELCOME TO BTS ARIRANG TOUR’ adorning the night sky. All these integrated elements combined to transform Las Vegas into an immersive space designed for fans to experience the BTS brand and their latest concept.

The ‘THE CITY LAS VEGAS’ campaign showcased an expanded, city-integrated approach, seamlessly blending urban infrastructure and cultural resources with BTS’s unique music and powerful message. This marked a truly symbolic moment where the group’s foundational musical message, rooted in their identity, was magnificently realized in Las Vegas, a global entertainment hub. The ‘ARIRANG Red Illumination’ captivating various city spots, exclusive after-parties, and curated gastronomic tours in collaboration with diverse F&B brands will continue to delight fans across Las Vegas until late May and early June.

All four performances of the ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN LAS VEGAS’ were completely sold out, a testament to their unwavering global appeal. On the opening night, the 23rd, over 60,000 enthusiastic attendees gathered at Allegiant Stadium, creating an immense and electrifying crowd.

During the concert, world-renowned DJ Steve Aoki, who famously collaborated on the remix version of ‘MIC Drop,’ made a surprise appearance in the audience, demonstrating their strong and enduring bond. The powerful ‘Arirang’ mass chant of the B-side track ‘Body to Body,’ sung in unison by 60,000 fans, resonated throughout the entire stadium. BTS expressed their heartfelt gratitude, stating, “This stadium holds deep significance for us. When we held a concert here four years ago, only a portion of you could attend due to COVID-19. We sincerely thank everyone who waited patiently for four years,” filling the venue with genuine emotion and a sense of shared history.
