LE SSERAFIM member Kim Chaewon is temporarily halting her activities due to a neck injury.
On the 19th, her agency, Source Music, released an official statement regarding Kim Chaewon’s health status and schedule on their official social media channels.
Source Music announced today, “Kim Chaewon recently received medical treatment for neck pain. Healthcare professionals advised her to rest for a certain period and monitor her recovery progress.”
The agency continued, “Prioritizing the artist’s health and safety, and taking into comprehensive consideration the medical staff’s opinion and the artist’s condition, we have determined that it is necessary for the artist to focus on adequate recovery to continue her activities in a more stable condition.” Consequently, Kim Chaewon will regrettably be absent from pre-announced schedules, including university festivals, Spotify PURE FLOWERS LIVE, and music broadcasts.
Previously, LE SSERAFIM unveiled ‘CELEBRATION’ on the 24th of last month as a pre-release track ahead of their second full album. While intended as a welcome gift for fans, the intense performance, which included aggressive headbanging, raised concerns among some viewers, leading them to request choreography adjustments from the agency.
Moreover, controversy escalated when clips surfaced from a recent live broadcast showing members appearing to complain of neck pain. This prior concern has further intensified fan frustration following Kim Chaewon’s neck injury and subsequent activity suspension.
