Hyundai Mobis recently convened its fifth annual Mobis Mobility Day in Silicon Valley, strengthening global collaborations in cutting-edge robotics and physical AI technologies.
Hosted in Sunnyvale, California, the premier event serves as Hyundai Mobis’ flagship open innovation platform, strategically uniting leading startups, prominent global automakers, and key investors. Participants gather to discuss future business strategies and explore pivotal partnership opportunities in the mobility sector.
This year’s Mobis Mobility Day saw a remarkable turnout of approximately 400 attendees—more than doubling last year’s figures. This significant increase underscores the burgeoning interest in Hyundai Mobis’s advancements in robotics and pioneering next-generation mobility initiatives.
Beyond traditional mobility firms, the event attracted a diverse array of developers and companies from cutting-edge emerging technology sectors. This highlights the accelerating convergence of the automotive, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) industries, driving integrated solutions.
During the gathering, Hyundai Mobis unveiled its forward-looking investment and robust research and development (R&D) strategies for robotics and physical AI. Expert researchers from the Hyundai Mobis Technical Center of North America also showcased the company’s groundbreaking progress in autonomous driving systems, software-defined vehicles (SDVs), and advanced electrification technologies.
Hyundai Mobis further engaged in critical discussions with North American automakers, exploring strategic cooperation opportunities linked to Hyundai Motor Group’s Metaplant America and potential high-volume orders from global customers throughout the region.
Demonstrating its commitment to global expansion, Hyundai Mobis announced plans to host a second Mobis Mobility Day event in Asia later this year, actively broadening its strategic global partnerships beyond North America.
The company will also intensify its open innovation efforts, aiming to identify and collaborate with promising startups across rapidly evolving sectors, including advanced robotics and critical automotive semiconductors.
