HD Hyundai Marine Solution, the dedicated maritime service division of HD Hyundai, has formalized a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with US-based energy solutions provider Aperion Energy Group. This agreement aims to deliver comprehensive maintenance services for critical data center power engines located in Texas.
This comprehensive agreement encompasses long-term operational services, alongside robust maintenance contracts, specifically for 33 high-capacity power engines within Aperion’s upcoming data center facility in Texas.
This new partnership builds upon a significant supply agreement previously established in April between Aperion and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. That earlier pact secured the development of a 684-megawatt data center power generation facility, utilizing advanced 20-megawatt Himsen engines.
The escalating demand for artificial intelligence capabilities is profoundly increasing electricity consumption by data centers, making reliable backup power systems and resilient power supply infrastructure absolutely critical for facility operators.
An HD Hyundai Marine Solution official emphasized, “The meticulous maintenance of data center power engines has become paramount, more crucial than ever before.”
They further added, “Through this strategic partnership, we are poised to showcase our advanced engine maintenance capabilities, directly addressing the escalating data center demand across the broader North American market.”
