The revelations unfolded during the May 15th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s popular music talk show, ‘The Seasons – Sung Si-kyung’s Ear-Lover Boyfriend’ (Goma Namchin), which featured a star-studded lineup including Rain, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young, and Lee Chae-yeon.
Rain captivated the audience with a powerful performance of his new song, ‘Feel It (You)’, marking its debut and final broadcast on ‘The Seasons – Sung Si-kyung’s Ear-Lover Boyfriend’. He shared his recent focus on intimate “club performances and direct fan engagement,” explaining his reduced appearances on traditional music shows. “I often feel awkward with the ending poses, which is one reason I’ve shied away from music broadcasts,” Rain confessed, sparking laughter from the crowd.
Introducing himself as ‘KBS’s son,’ Rain further captivated viewers with a surprising anecdote: pre-debut, he received an urgent call from K-pop mogul Park Jin-young and ended up singing the iconic KBS logo song, familiar to all Koreans. He further astonished everyone by adding, “Park Jin-young reportedly said that KBS logo song was his top-earning copyrighted track at the time.” This highlights Rain’s long-standing connection to the broadcaster.
The discussion continued as Sung Si-kyung and Rain, both frequent guest performers at Psy’s legendary ‘Summer Swag’ concerts, found common ground. Sung Si-kyung humorously lamented, “My dream is to guest in Seoul; he only ever calls me to far-off provinces.” He then jokingly revealed that for major metropolitan shows, Psy reserves slots for “hard-to-get artists like BIGBANG’s G-Dragon or BLACKPINK’s Rosé,” prompting laughter. He explained his dedication: “I don’t even think about alcohol. I don’t make any plans and mostly stay home, not speaking much outside of my performances.
