Seventeen’s Dino is set to release his highly anticipated first solo EP, titled “Board,” on August 3rd. Pledis Entertainment, his agency, officially announced the K-pop idol’s solo debut on Monday.
This solo venture introduces Dino’s unique alter ego, Picheolin, a middle-aged producer at the helm of a record label. This character, a playful persona, was first unveiled by Seventeen’s youngest member during the group’s fan meeting in 2021, adding an intriguing layer to his solo artistry.
Anticipation for the upcoming mini-album soared after a surprise seven-minute teaser video debuted. Presented as a morning show, the teaser featured Dino embodying multiple personas, captivating fans. The EP’s title, “Board,” further hints at a concept steeped in 90s street culture and music, promising a high-energy and nostalgic release.
Prior to “Board,” Dino showcased his individual musicality with the release of his mixtape, “Wait,” in 2023.
In related news, Seventeen will hold a special fan meeting at the iconic Tokyo Dome this Wednesday and Thursday, connecting with their dedicated fanbase.
