Global K-pop sensation BTS continues its remarkable ascent on Billboard’s prestigious global charts, with their hit single “Swim” maintaining a top-three position for an impressive sixth consecutive week.

As per Billboard’s most recent chart updates, dated May 9, “Swim,” the captivating lead single from BTS’ critically acclaimed fifth LP, “Arirang,” secured the No. 2 spot on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts. This significant achievement saw the K-pop track climb one position on the Global 200 from its ranking the previous week.

Further highlighting the album’s immense global appeal, an impressive thirteen tracks from “Arirang”—excluding only the instrumental interlude featuring the distinctive sound of the King Seongdeok Bell—also sustained their presence on both major global charts for a sixth consecutive week. This consistent performance underscores the album’s enduring worldwide popularity among BTS fans and new listeners alike.

The album, “Arirang,” also powerfully maintained its momentum across Billboard’s highly competitive main charts. It impressively secured the No. 5 position on the prestigious Billboard 200, marking its sixth consecutive week within the album chart’s coveted top five. This follows a groundbreaking achievement just weeks prior, when “Arirang” made history as the first release by a Korean act to spend an unprecedented three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the chart.

The breakout single “Swim” simultaneously continued its impressive chart run on the Hot 100, holding strong at No. 32 in its sixth week, further cementing BTS’s diverse chart presence.

Examining Billboard’s broader rankings, the “Arirang” album showcased its robust performance, landing at No. 4 for top album sales, No. 11 for album streams, and achieving a significant No. 5 position for vinyl sales, marking a notable three-spot rise from the preceding week. Furthermore, the track “Swim” consistently charted across various influential radio and sales categories on Billboard, including strong showings in digital song sales, adult contemporary, pop airplay, adult pop airplay, and radio songs.

In related news, BTS also witnessed a surge of renewed interest in their beloved 2017 track, “Pied Piper.” Following its electrifying performance at the group’s recent sold-out concerts in Tampa, Florida, the fan-favorite song triumphantly reentered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, securing a commendable No. 9 spot.

Currently, the iconic K-pop group is captivating audiences across North America with their extensive “Arirang” world tour, an ambitious series comprising 31 shows spread across 12 vibrant cities. BTS recently delivered a spectacular performance at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas, attracting an astonishing 100,000 concertgoers over two days. Their journey continues with highly anticipated performances scheduled for Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday in Mexico City, promising more unforgettable moments for their dedicated global fanbase.
