BTS’s Jin captivated audiences and fans worldwide in El Paso with his ‘visual genius’ appearance and ‘live king’ vocals, proving his global appeal.

On May 3rd (Korean Standard Time), BTS held the first El Paso concert of their ‘Arirang World Tour’ at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas, marking a historic moment as the first Korean artist to perform at the venue.

Jin, widely adored as a ‘god of beauty,’ enthralled the packed audience with his clear, crystalline “siren vocals” and beautiful performance. His consistent, unceasing energy and interaction with the crowd were highlights throughout the show. Furthermore, his new fashion, including appearing with a headscarf in the latter half of the stage, became a significant topic, captivating viewers with his unparalleled innocence.
Beyond his sculptural ‘visual king’ beauty, Jin’s outstanding physique and abs also thrilled the audience. During his talk segment, Jin expressed that it was a very happy day. He commented on the surrounding rocky mountains, saying they felt like a movie set, and that he felt like he was filming a movie with the fans. Declaring it “our own happy movie!”, Jin encouraged everyone to “have fun again tomorrow” before shouting “Te amo” (Spanish for “I love you”), which was met with thunderous cheers.

El Paso fans enthusiastically cheered for Jin throughout the show, with many holding pickets referencing his explosive reaction on the American show ‘Hot Ones,’ where he famously interviewed while eating spicy chicken. A picket sign reading “Finally, the Handsome Man (Jin) has arrived in El Paso!!!!” also caught significant attention.

An anchor from El Paso’s NBC-affiliated TV station, ‘KTSM News,’ congratulated a fan who won two premium BTS tickets, openly stating that she is a dedicated BTS fan and Jin is her favorite member. The anchor even brought an RJ doll, a character created by Jin, to show on air. Similarly, a news anchor from last week’s ‘Arirang World Tour’ performance in Tampa, USA, also proudly declared Jin as her bias, showcasing his photocard.

Meanwhile, BTS is scheduled to hold their second concert in El Paso, USA, on May 4th (Korean Standard Time). This ‘Arirang World Tour’ by BTS is officially recognized as the largest in K-pop history.
Following last week’s event in Tampa, Florida, where the entire road in front of Raymond James Stadium was closed for a week to set up BTS merchandise booths, the El Paso County Commissioners Court in Texas passed a resolution on April 27th (local time). They bestowed a special ‘Estimado Amigo’ award upon BTS and officially designated the concert period as ‘El Paso BTS Weekend.’ Furthermore, El Paso extended and offered free rides on its public transportation, the El Paso Streetcar (vintage tram), for the BTS concert, allowing free boarding anywhere along the entire route, demonstrating an incredibly enthusiastic welcome for the global phenomenon.
