Big Hit Music Artists BTS and TXT Continue Strong Billboard Performance with Albums & Singles

BTS (Big Hit Music)

K-pop powerhouse Big Hit Music continues to demonstrate its global impact, with superstar groups BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) consistently dominating international music charts.

The latest Billboard charts, updated May 2, reveal that K-pop icons BTS maintain an unshakeable presence. Their fifth studio album, “Arirang,” continues its remarkable run across major rankings. The album’s captivating lead single, “Swim,” secured the No. 2 spot on the Global Excl. US chart and No. 3 on the Global 200, marking an impressive five consecutive weeks within the top three. This sustained success is further highlighted by all 13 vocal tracks from “Arirang” — with the exception of the sixth track, “No. 29,” which features the historic King Seongdeok Divine Bell sound — remaining strong on both global charts, underscoring persistent worldwide demand for BTS’s music.

BTS’s “Arirang” also showcased its chart dominance on Billboard’s most prestigious rankings, landing at No. 4 on the highly competitive Billboard 200. The album’s hit single, “Swim,” secured No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the fan-favorite B-side track “Body to Body” extended its stay on the Hot 100 at No. 95 for a fifth consecutive week. Beyond these flagship charts, “Arirang” also clinched No. 3 on Top Album Sales, No. 7 on Top Streaming Albums, and No. 8 on Vinyl Albums, demonstrating its widespread appeal across various consumption formats. Furthermore, “Swim” soared to No. 4 on Digital Song Sales, proving its commercial power.

Beyond its global achievements, BTS continues to exhibit formidable momentum in Japan. Oricon’s Weekly Digital Album Ranking, dated May 4, reported that “Arirang” recaptured the No. 1 position, marking its fifth week at the top and extending its impressive run within the top five to six consecutive weeks, cementing BTS’s unparalleled popularity in the region.

Big Hit Music’s rising stars, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), also made significant waves, conquering both Billboard’s Top Album Sales and World Albums charts with their acclaimed eighth EP, “7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorn.” This highly anticipated release also secured the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200, signifying TXT’s remarkable 13th entry on this prestigious chart. A testament to their consistent global appeal, all eight of TXT’s Korean releases have impressively reached the top five on the Billboard 200, solidifying their status as a global K-pop sensation. Furthermore, the talented group earned a notable No. 7 ranking on the Billboard Artist 100.

The EP’s captivating main track, “Stick With You,” individually shone bright, clinching the No. 2 position on Billboard World Digital Song Sales and maintaining its presence on the Global Excl. US chart at No. 167 for a strong second consecutive week, demonstrating its individual global reach.

The future of K-pop looks bright with Big Hit Music’s promising rookie group, Cortis, who are rapidly gaining international traction. Their prerelease single, “RedRed,” from their highly anticipated second EP, “GreenGreen,” impressively topped Apple Music’s Today’s Top 100: South Korea chart on April 28. This achievement marks a significant upward trajectory, following its strong debut at No. 72 earlier in the week, indicating Cortis’s growing influence and potential in the global music scene.
